The scope of Work includes the construction of approximately 18,348 square foot State Police Building and a 2,847 square feet Vehicle Maintenance Building. The site is located on at 4055 N. Sonoma Ranch Blvd. in Las Cruces, New Mexico. The Foundations will be concrete spread footings. Structural system is a steel frame and steel joists with a metal deck and concrete floor slab. Interior walls are metal studs and gyp.board.Exterior architectural finishes include 3 coat cementitious stucco and a synthetic stone veneer. Exterior windows are aluminum storefront and aluminum framed windows. Exterior doors are aluminum at the main entry and others to be hollow metal doors in hollow metal frames with interior doors to be wood in hollow metal frames. The low slope roof is a single ply membrane over metal decking and the steeper sloped roof is a standing seam metal roof. Interior architectural finishes are quarry tile, carpet, ceramic tile with access flooring with carpet at the Dispatch area. Interior walls are painted gyp. board and ceramic tile at wet areas. Ceilings are lay-in acoustical tiles, gyp.board, and exposed structure. The mechanical system consists of roof top mounted combination units. Electrical and special systems are included in the scope of work. The Project is specified to achieve a LEED Silver rating New Construction & Major Renovation 2.2 the Second Edition September, 2006.
